Adult players take part in an evening football drill under the floodlights

Open Training Evening Puts Fun and Fitness First

Our open training evening brought players together for an energetic session built around movement, ball work and the simple pleasure of playing football with others.

A session for every pace

After a relaxed group warm-up, participants moved through short passing exercises, balance work and small-sided games. Coaches kept instructions clear and adaptable, allowing everyone to work at a comfortable level while still finding a worthwhile challenge.

The evening was designed to show what a typical Boranders session feels like: organised, positive and welcoming. There was plenty of concentration during the drills, but just as much laughter between them. New faces quickly settled in alongside familiar players.

What to bring next time

  • Comfortable sports clothing suited to the weather.
  • Football boots or suitable training shoes.
  • A filled water bottle.
  • A willingness to join in and support the group.

No one is expected to arrive match-fit or know every exercise. The aim is to move, learn and enjoy being part of the club. Anyone interested in a future open session can speak to a coach at the ground for the latest training information.
